Two Leading Sleep Brands Open Joint Store
Direct-to-consumer mattress retailers Endy and Casper have launched their first joint physical store in Halifax.
Located at 5640 Spring Garden Rd., the combined showroom features a complete range of mattresses, pillows, bedding, furniture and accessories from both brands.
The store opening marks the second physical location for Endy. The retailer unveiled its first last November, in a mall in Toronto’s west end.
“Our first store location demonstrated that, as much as Canadians value the comfort and convenience of being able to shop online, many do still appreciate the benefits of in-store shopping,” says Endy president Jason Cassidy. “We’re proud to offer that to an increasing number of customers as we continue to expand our retail presence.”
The shared Halifax location is Casper’s seventh in Canada, positioning the brand as a coast-to-coast retailer.
“We’ve seen a growing interest from our East Coast customers for a physical store where they’re able to touch and feel Casper’s products for themselves,” says Sarah Badun, vice-president and general manager at Casper Canada.
Casper arrived in Canada in 2014, when the New York-based start-up began shipping directly to Canadian consumers living in all 13 provinces and territories. In 2023, Sleep Country Canada purchased the company’s Canadian assets, bringing the original disruptor of the mattress industry in North America under its umbrella.
Endy launched a year later in 2015, as a Toronto-started venture. Six years later, the pure-play e-commerce bedding merchant was also purchased by this country’s largest mattress retail organization.
