West Coast Furniture Store Shuttering Doors

Independent furniture retailer Rosewood Home & Condo is going out of business.

A North Vancouver staple for 13 years, store owner Alnoor Lakhani cites retirement as the reason for the closing.

Lakhani opened Rosewood in 2011, after moving to British Columbia from Kenya. With 10 years’ experience in designing and constructing furniture from back home, he quickly noticed a gap in the Canadian market for timeless, functional and well-constructed furniture that was also competitively priced.

Rosewood is known for its solid, hand-crafted furniture made from tropical hardwood. Custom pieces include beds, benches, dining tables, coffee tables and consoles. Other furniture sold can be employed throughout various rooms, from the bedroom to dining and living spaces to a home office. Vanities are also offered in two finishes of Acacia wood, as well as lighting.

The store is holding a massive sale with discounts up to 75 per cent off.
