Expo Design Spotlights Manufacturing Growth Opportunities

As manufacturers respond to changing consumer expectations, new opportunities are emerging across the residential, commercial and retail sectors. From the rise of outdoor living to the evolution of physical retail and new models of collaboration, the industry is being challenged to rethink how design can drive growth, differentiation and long-term competitiveness.

These themes will be front and centre at Expo Design, Quebec’s premier event for architecture, design and manufacturing professionals.

The conference program will feature internationally recognized speakers and educational sessions exploring the trends, technologies and ideas shaping the future of the built environment.

Sessions include:

  • Hettich Furnspin and Outdoor Kitchens: Explore how FurnSpin is redefining cabinetry with dynamic 180-degree rotating storage that transforms both functionality and the user experience. The session will also examine how growing demand for outdoor living is creating new opportunities for manufacturers and how businesses can capitalize on this expanding market.
  • The New North American Retail Reality: A forward-looking discussion on how retail environments are evolving and what manufacturers and brands must do to remain competitive in an increasingly experience-driven marketplace.
  • Why Diverse Teams Design Better Projects: Learn through real-world examples how diversity has contributed to stronger project outcomes, greater innovation and improved business performance.

Expo Design will take place Oct. 7–8, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.

The annual event was rebranded in 2025 from the Wood Design Show in celebration of its 10th anniversary.
