Silk & Snow to Open Another Brick-and-Mortar Store
Sleep products specialist Silk & Snow is expanding into Western Canada, with the opening of a new store.
Located at one of the country’s largest retail power centres, South Edmonton Common, in Alberta, the showroom will boast 1,900 square feet of space. It will be jointly shared with Canadian mattress brand Endy, and situated beside an existing Sleep Country location.
Sleep Country Canada is the parent company of both brands, as well as Casper, Hush and Dormez-vous, which operates solely in Quebec.
The new store is the second collaboration between Silk & Snow and renowned architectural firm Benoy. Fusing Japandi and mid-century modern interior styles, the space features natural-inspired accents, muted neutrals and rich earthy tones to achieve Silk & Snow’s signature aesthetic.
“Our customers are at the heart of our business and we continue to see an increased demand for in-person experiences,” says Albert Chow, co-founder and CEO of Silk & Snow. “This new location allows us to bring our brand to life for the first time in Western Canada, and meaningfully connect with more of our community.”
Opening Nov. 28, the storefront will be the third for Silk & Snow, which currently has locations in Ottawa and Toronto.
The brand will launch a fourth retail experience in Laval, Que., later this month in partnership with Dormez-Vous.
Headquartered in Toronto, Silk & Snow is among Canada’s fastest-growing, digitally-native home essentials brands. Its product offerings include mattresses, bedding, furniture, sleep accessories and bath essentials.
The company was founded in 2017, from a successful campaign on funding platform Kickstarter. In 2023, Sleep Country acquired Silk & Snow for approximately $24 million.
