Silk & Snow to Embark on Major Retail Expansion

One of Canada’s fastest growing home brands is set to open more than a dozen retail locations across the country this year.

Sleep products specialist Silk & Snow is doubling down on its investment in its home market, kicking off its expansion plans with the launch of its first standalone store in Calgary on March 21.

Thirteen store openings will follow, the majority of which are in partnership with either Sleep Country Canada, Casper Canada, Endy or Dormez-Vous, the Quebec arm of Sleep Country.

Upcoming store launches are scheduled for Quebec City, Vancouver, Ancaster, Ont., and Sherway Gardens shopping mall in Toronto. Silk & Snow is also expanding its existing showroom on Caledonia Road in the design district of Toronto.

More details, including the full list of stores, will be announced in the coming months.

Silk & Snow began as an e-commerce-only retailer in 2017, born from a successful campaign on funding platform Kickstarter.

The company originally only offered a made-in-Canada single memory foam mattress. Today, its products include mattresses, bedding, furniture, sleep accessories and bath essentials.

In 2023, this country’s largest sleep goods retailer, Sleep Country, acquired Silk & Snow, but it has continued to operate as an independent entity. The brand currently has three brick-and-mortar spaces in Edmonton, Ottawa and Laval, Que.
