QFMA Strikes Partnership to Strengthen Export Capabilities
The Quebec Furniture Manufacturers Association (QFMA) has partnered with Convera to support its members with specialized foreign exchange and international payment solutions.
Announced jointly by both organizations, the collaboration aims to help Quebec-based furniture manufacturers optimize cross-border transactions and better manage currency risk as they expand into global markets.
Through this partnership, QFMA members will gain access to tailored financial strategies designed to improve cost-efficiency and reduce volatility in international transactions — key considerations for manufacturers operating in export-heavy markets.
The initiative comes at a time when Canadian manufacturers are facing increasing global pressures, including fluctuating currency values and rising operational costs. For Quebec’s furniture industry, which exports significant volumes to the United States and Europe, mitigating currency risk is critical for maintaining profit margins and competitiveness.
QFMA, or, more properly, L’Association des fabricants de meubles du Québec, brings together manufacturers of residential, office and institutional furniture and furniture components, as well as suppliers to this industry. It contributes to the growth of the province’s furniture industry and oversees its promotion and development in Canada and internationally.
Convera is a digital platform that streamlines the management of international payments in more than 140 currencies across more than 200 countries and territories, at favourable rates and with minimal fees.
