BMTC Group Names New President of Tanguay

Quebec’s largest furniture, mattress and appliance retailer, BMTC Group, has promoted Louis-Philippe Auger to president of its Tanguay banner.

Auger has served as vice-president of Tanguay since 2022, and has been with the division for more than 26 years. During this time, Auger has significantly contributed to Tanguay’s growth and has been a key player in its expansion throughout Quebec.

Auger replaces Charles Tanguay, who, after several years at the helm, has chosen to pursue new professional challenges.

Tanguay was born out of the merger of Brault & Martineau and Tanguay in 2023. Both founded in the early 1960s, they were bought by Yves Des Groseillers at the end of the 1980s to become the BMTC Group.
