IMM Cologne 2026 Secures Bulk of Exhibitor Space
Six months before IMM Cologne opens, the trade fair team is reporting excellent interim results.
Around 70 per cent of the planned exhibition area is already reserved.
“The fact that so many exhibitors have committed to the event’s new concept at this early stage and support its new direction is a crucial sign of the industry’s trust — and further impetus for the next steps in our preparations for the 2026 trade fair year,” says show director Bernd Sanden.
The positive interim results are based on strong international participation from more than 26 countries, including exhibitors from Austria, Bulgaria, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Serbia, Slovenia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The sales team is also doing brisk business in the German market. Intense discussions are currently underway with key industry players.
Alongside the ongoing recruitment of exhibitors, the trade fair team is working on an accompanying event program that will deepen the event’s business orientation by addressing relevant topics. It is designed to foster international dialogue within the sector and to present specially curated content for the furniture and interior design industries with a strong practical focus.
Earlier this year, show organizer Koelnmesse announced the IMM Cologne’s repositioning as a clearly business-to-business-focused platform for the consumer-oriented interiors market after cancelling the 2025 edition.
Over the course of four days, Jan. 20-23, 2026, companies will gather at the event to present market-ready interior design products to decision-makers from bricks-and-mortar furniture stores, e-commerce retailers, the do-it-yourself segment, and the international wholesale and specialist trade.
World of Interiors will serve as IMM Cologne’s key theme for its showcase of the entire spectrum of the interior design market, from entry-level price points to lifestyle furniture and from high-volume vendors to established brands. The exhibition will be supplemented by research-backed insights into consumer trends, changes in purchase behaviour and future market developments.
