Mattress Maker Partners with Chiropractic Association
Canadian mattress manufacturer Araam has received an exclusive endorsement from the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA) for its Sprout line of sleep products.
“Sleep is the foundation of good health, and our partnership with the CCA underscores our commitment to delivering sustainable mattresses and scientifically-backed sleep solutions to Canadians,” says Feizal Chatur, CEO of Araam. “Sprout mattresses not only improve spinal alignment and relieve pressure points but also incorporate eco-friendly materials (and) are designed to last, ensuring both comfort and health for patients and customers.”
Recent studies have revealed one in three Canadians experience insufficient sleep, which is directly linked to a rise in chronic pain, poor posture and mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression. Poor sleep quality exacerbates spinal issues, often leading to more serious health concerns like back pain and headaches.
Sprout mattresses include an innovative pocket-coil system and natural latex, which provide optimal spinal support, significantly reducing pressure points for better posture. They’re handcrafted from environmentally responsible materials, such as wool, silk and organic cotton, providing a hypoallergenic sleep experience for improved health and quality of life. This design also minimizes environmental impact by utilizing recyclable and renewable materials.
Each mattress in the collection also comes with a 10-year full warranty.
“With 7.3 million Canadians experiencing chronic pain, identifying quality sleep solutions is crucial,” says Dr. Ayla Azad, CEO of the CCA. “Araam’s Sprout line can significantly impact overall health and well-being by promoting better sleep quality and supporting improved musculoskeletal health.”
In light of this endorsement, Araam has welcomed two new retail sales executives to its team, Brad Copeland and Tania Dionne.
Copeland joins Araam as sales executive for Alberta. His journey in the mattress industry began in 1977, at Rogers Sleep Shop, where his commitment saw him rise from warehouse worker to store manager and sales trainer. His skills were further recognized at Canadian mattress maker Springwall Sleep Products, where he spent a total of 19 years of his career, earned numerous accolades, including Sales Rep of the Year, and achieved significant territory growth. His extensive experience also includes representing multiple mattress, upholstery and furniture accessory suppliers across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Serving as a sales executive in Quebec, Dionne comes to Araam with nearly 20 years of experience in the mattress industry. She has worked alongside manufacturers, independent retailers and major chains, and has also served as a bedding buyer. Her career spans roles at Tempur Sealy International and Mega Group. Dionne is a highly skilled trainer, too, having developed innovative sleep galleries and training systems in the past.
Founded in 2002, Araam currently operates a 75,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Edmonton, and distributes product to customers across Canada. The company specializes in designing high-quality mattresses and sleep accessories, and is a preferred vendor to some of the world’s most recognized hotels and resort properties.
