Furniture Brand Sunpan Hailed as Great Place to Work

Sunpan has been named among the best places to work in the retail and hospitality sectors.

The honour was bestowed by Great Place to Work Canada, highlighting the furniture manufacturer’s commitment to creating an exceptional work environment for employees and fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusivity.

“We are extremely honoured to receive this recognition as it reflects our ongoing commitment to cultivating a workplace that is positive and motivating for all employees,” says Sunpan president and CEO Sundeep Bagga. “Our staff is at the heart of everything we do and we believe that investing in their growth and well-being is fundamental to our success.”

This is the third year in a row Sunpan has been recognized. To earn a spot on the list, a company must be Great Place to Work-certified within the past year. Winners are determined based on employee responses to a survey.

“The competition to achieve the designation of best workplace is fierce, with over 900 companies competing across the country,” says Nancy Fonseca, senior vice-president of client services at Great Place to Work Canada. “The only way to be recognized is to invest in an exceptional employee experience and have this focus permeate every part of the organization.”

Sunpan offers numerous benefits to its employees, including extensive health, vision and dental coverage, a corporate wellness program and a retirement savings plan. The company also offers a hybrid work environment, ensuring an effective work-life balance. Additionally, staff members have access to special perks, such as a health spending account, team-building activities and employee appreciation events.

Specializing in transitional and contemporary furnishings, Sunpan operates three offices in Toronto, Houston and High Point, N.C. The brand has a global presence with team members based in Vietnam, Indonesia, India and China. As the company continues to grow, it is hiring across different teams, including marketing, supply chain, product, sales and warehousing.
