Atlanta Market Promises New Product Introductions

By Clare Tattersall

It’s the start of a new year and we’re just days away from one of the biggest in-person buying events of the winter season.

Atlanta Market kicks off Jan. 16-22, at AmericasMart Atlanta, with hundreds of home decor showrooms offering product sourcing opportunities across three buildings in one location, from furniture and lighting to linens and rugs.

Seventeen companies will be exhibiting at the show, more than half of which have permanent showrooms in Building 1. This includes Mississauga, Ont.-based CabanaCoast/Actiwin Co. Ltd. (6-B1). The outdoor furniture company will display new products from three collections — Muse, Perch and Origin — at market.

The Muse cabana daybed features a durable aluminum frame in two finish selections and many options for a bespoke, lounge-worthy outdoor refuge. The Muse deep seating collection features a streamlined, contemporary durable aluminum frame with seating in Tiger Drylac Storm frame finish. Its chamfered edges and minimalist form with deep, indulgent cushions create design allure.

The Perch outdoor collection by CabanaCoast is highly multifunctional.

The Perch collection brings functional surface area to any outdoor living space. Used as a stool, ottoman or side table, Perch is available in four SOL Rope finish options woven onto a powder coated aluminum frame.

The Origin padded sling seating collection provides the comfort of cushions with the convenience of a sling. It’s offered in multiple finish options, all stackable seating in dining, bar and balcony heights, and chaise lounges with wheels.

Empire six-piece glass set with tray by Harman can hold candles, flowers and more.

Other Canadian companies have temporary exhibits in Building 2, including Ontario-based Harman (12-1207) and Peterson Housewares (2-422), and Lynn & Liana Designs (3-311) from Manitoba. Specializing in home accessories, attendees can expect to find what’s new for 2024 in kitchenware, tabletop essentials and other decorative items in these showrooms.

Jewel trim bedding by Katari Impax is both striking and lush.

Also in Building 2 is Mississauga, Ont.-headquartered Katari Impax (2-613), a family owned business specializing in luxury bedding, drapery and home accessories. On display will be Linen Soft drapery, part of the company’s quick ship pleated drapery program; Tiles Silver, an exclusive textured fabric for drapery, bedding or pillows; Jewel trim fabric, which can be appliqued on drapery, bedding and pillows; and Paros duvet cover.

The Palmeira tablecloth by Oslé is inspired by the diverse palm trees that symbolize Colombia’s vibrant culture.

Though not based in Canada, a multitude of companies will be showcasing products available to retailers in this country. Located in Building 2, Oslé (3-808) will showcase its latest sustainable table linens, including Amazonas and Palmeira tablecloths, both tributes to the tropical landscapes in Columbia where they are made.

The Eva collection by DownTown Co. is a luxury 440 thread-count ivory bedding set.

Bedding essentials provider DownTown Co. in Building 1 (14-A1) is another. Collections on display include Eva, a 440 thread-count ensemble made in Portugal that includes an ivory sheet set trimmed in matching ivory lace. Then there’s Ebony, a black duvet with matching shams trimmed in an embroidered lace pattern; Eliza, a velvet coverlet quilted in a modern horizontal design; and Gigi, a down-filled silk throw imported from Germany.
