Sunpan Expands Global Footprint with Asia Headquarters
Transitional and contemporary furnishings manufacturer Sunpan has opened an office in Vietnam, its first in Asia.
Located in the country’s largest city, Ho Chi Minh, the office will serve as Sunpan’s continental headquarters, bolstering global manufacturing and supply chain operations in the region.
“(It) strengthens product development and quality oversight, shortens development cycles and builds closer partnerships with suppliers,” says Fion Ho, director of product development at Sunpan. “Having a local, expert team on the ground ensures accountability, supports the supply chain and fosters stronger, more collaborative relationships.”
The Vietnam office serves as a key hub for product development and sourcing. The team works directly with manufacturing partners to support on-site production management and accelerated development timelines, enabling more efficient progression from initial concept to final production.
The office is also responsible for quality control and compliance, and is expanding its capabilities in line with business growth. Sunpan will be hiring additional technical designers and materials specialists to embed expertise more deeply within its production network.
“Our Asia headquarters in Vietnam represents an important investment,” says Sangeeta Dulall, director of people and culture at Sunpan. “Having a permanent presence in the region allows us to build a strong local team and enable a more consistent and efficient operation overall to support Sunpan’s future growth.”
Sunpan currently operates a global network that supports its trade partners worldwide. In addition to its new office in Vietnam, it maintains a head office, warehouse and showroom in Toronto, alongside a warehouse in Houston, and showrooms in High Point, N.C., and Las Vegas.
